Michael Scott

Executive Director

Mike is a very experienced marine seismic acquisition executive, and a co-architect of New Wave Energy. He was earlier President of Geco (Schlumberger) global marine acquisition, and a co-founder and President of PGS Exploration which was built into a $300m revenue, 30% net margin business. Later he co-founded and ran Reservoir Exploration Technology (RXT) which was built into a $200m revenue business

Diz Mackewn

Executive Director

Diz has held multiple Board and C-level exec management roles across a broad spectrum of oil field service companies. He has been involved in several successful E&P start-ups and was co-founder of a sizable PE fund as well as the CTO, responsible for technology-based strategy. Diz formerly served as President PGS Geophysical, was the founder / CEO of Enovation Resources, and has been responsible for several industry technology firsts.

Jan Evensen

Director & Interim CEO

Jan has more than 40 years global Technical and Executive Management in the international oil industry, working the whole value chain from exploration through development and production. During this time Jan worked for a number of the major Oil companies including Shell International, Norsk Hydro and Amerada Hess. Most recently Jan has been involved in the Geothermal Energy industry, including co-ordinating the technical feasibility for Rock Energy for a deep geothermal plant at Oslo Gardermoen Airport.

Erik Hokholt

Interim CFO

Erik is an experienced business manager from listed offshore companies in Norway with world-wide operations, where he primarily worked as a highly operative CFO. Several of the companies were taken from small start-ups with new efficient technologies, through a significant growth, and eventually listed on the Oslo Stock Exchange. Erik served as FD in PGS Exploration for 10 years and founder and CFO of the OSE listed companies Wavefield Inseis ASA and Dolphin ASA. He presently work as a Financial Business Consultant /Advisor.

Mark Spencer Jones

Commercial

Mark is an experienced business development manager and founder of numerous oil & gas companies globally. Extensive experience in the management of oil & gas assets during the 10 year development of the Azimuth Gp within PGS, which evolved into companies such as Azinam and Okea. Mark served in PGS for 23 years, 10 years in Robertson research (CGG) and 2 years with Norske Shell. He is presently advisor to the state company Staatsolie, Suriname

Dr. Wayne Kirk

Subsurface management

Wayne has over 30 years’ experience as General Manager and Energy Geoscientist with operating E&P companies and more recently as an independent consultant. Wayne has served as an exploration manager with Hess, Technical Director with Atlantic Petroleum and Country Manager at OMV New Zealand, at the time the country’s largest oil producer. He helped to build operator organisations and capability at both Atlantic Petroleum and OMV UK.

David Gawith

Geoscience & G&G Research

David’s background is in seismic interpretation and analysis and he was a technical manager in geophysical research for BP. He was a founder and director of Earthmodels Ltd which was taken over by Ikon Science where he became a principal geoscientist. He has since co-founded G&G Research Ltd and directs the development of its GGeode software including Acoustic Dispersivity analysis.

Giles Watts

Geophysics & CCS

Giles is a geophysicist and technical manager specialising in monitoring hydrocarbon fields and CCS projects. He spent 20 years at BP working in a variety of roles including Asset Manager Offshore North Sinai, Reservoir Manager Valhall and Seismic Services Manager North Sea. From 2010 he has been a consultant working with 40 organisations including companies, governments and banks to advance the effective deployment of geophysical technology. He developed the novel reservoir monitoring technology for SoundSabre Ltd. and in the last few years has branched into environmental and climate change activism specialising in energy and transport.  

Ian McMillan

Data Acquisition

Ian is a very experienced marine seismic data acquisition expert with 40 years working with offshore geophysical technology and operations. Previous positions include CTO, Geco (Schlumberger) global marine acquisition, VP Acquisition Technology, PGS. Technologies introduced and developed during this time included multi-streamer towing systems, Ramform, Geostreamer, Marine vibrator, and Fiber Optic PRM. He was later CTO, Reservoir Exploration Technology (RXT).

Martin J. Lode

IT Management

Martin is a graduate in Electrical Engineering from NTNU.  He has held several IT management positions in major oil companies, including Exxon and Mobil, both abroad and in Norway.  Furthermore, he has been a management consultant with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and managed projects in Storebrand ASA.  For the last 20 years, he has been involved with start up companies, including being the VP HSEQ and IT in Reservoir Exploration Technology ASA (RXT).  Martin is a Co-Founder at New Wave Energy AS.

Prof. Emr. Karl Berteussen

Permeability Diagnostic Services (PDS)

Karl is highly experienced geoscientist and technical manager whose former positions include chief geophysicist at Saga Petroleum, president PGS Reservoir, CEO Read Well Services and professor and research director of the Petroleum Institute (now part of the Khalifa University) in Abu Dhabi. He co-founded Permeability Diagnostic Services (PDS) which has developed the permeability mapping range of products.

Stephen Doyle (Associate)

Multi-Client Resources (MCR)

Stephen is Managing Director of Multi-Client Resources, an Australian company he founded in July 2018 that specialises in the development, management, promotion and delivery of high quality non-exclusive geophysical data products and services to the oil and gas industry.
He has held senior executive positions globally with PGS and Polarcus as well as oil and gas operating companies; Arcadia Petroleum, Cathay Petroleum and Enovation Resources. He was co-founder and non-executive director of MultiClient Geophysical ASA.
